I have worked for a photography company for 5 years as a contractual photographer. While working there I went to college an obtained my bachelors degree. I worked this past year as a subcontractor for flooring at the home depot. I'm now a grad-student getting a masters degree, looking for full-time employment after I was let go due to downsizing. I have applied to 74 places as of now. I have 34 dollars left, half a tank of gas, tuition to pay, 5k in credit debt. I've been on 31 job interviews, they either say "you have too little experience" or that "this job isn't really a glorified position, maybe you would do better looking elsewhere" because of my education background. The only jobs available are 100% commission sales/recruiting type jobs, start your own jobs, work at home jobs, blah .. all scams. I feel like I'm out of options. What do I do????? Anyone have any ideas?

  1. You are interviewing in the wrong places. Employers will hire if you got the experience in a certain field. If not, then they will reject you. I say try temp agencies in your area. At least work temp before you find a permanent position. It won't hurt.
