Question:

I can't focus at school?

I'm 17 and it feels like I've got ADD, but I used to focus very well and get top marks. I used to be top of the class all the time and I actually studied.

Now I'm failing and if I fail this year I would not be able to go onto year 12(I would have to repeat).

I just can't bring myself to do anything. It feels boring and pointless, but I desperately don't want to fail.

What do I do?

  1. Well first I would actually see if you have ADD, and if you do get some specialist to help if you really want to exceed.

If not, what usually helps is repeating to yourself to do the thing you are avoiding or not focusing on. And when in the classroom, if you can't pay attention to your teachers talking, what helps me is I repeat their words in my head after I say it.

Also, when at home doing homework (I know this will sound weird) I pretty much deprived myself of tv, and distractions like that (pretty much locking myself in my room)

    Hope that helps!!
