It's so weird. Every time I try to download my mail messages on Thunderbird, it keeps on saying the connection to the server msn.net has timed out. So I tried to adjust the time-out time, but it's just the same - after about a minute the connection has timed out. Can you hep me please?

  1. Without knowing if this is a new issue on old established connection, or if this is an initial set-up problem, it's difficult to offer specific advice. Many times it's a server problem and not yours.  Too many people trying to access the site at the same time, weather related issues, etc.  All you can do is wait things out.

Or, if it's a new set-up,  perhaps you selected an SSL connection but the server doesn't support it. Or the server may be incorrectly configured. For example, most telnet clients do not support secure (SSL) connections. A connection to a server that requires SSL will time out in about 60 seconds.
