I can't get XP2008 antivirus off my computer?

Every time I try to download one of the applications to get rid of it, my computer says it has connection problems. When I check the internet connection it tells me that there is no problems. HELP. do I need to download a disk?

  1. Use this and follow the directions exactly.Restart your computer,press F8 when the screen comes up,use safe mode with networking and you can download the programs.They won't install in safe mode though so you will have to restart again after you get them downloaded.

  2. Your only option is to install CLAMWIN.

    ClamWin is a Free Antivirus for Microsoft Windows

    that uses the GNU General Public License by the Free Software

    Foundation and is free (as in freedom) software.

    There is a portable version of ClamWin where it can be install into an USB pendrive as small as 64 MB.

    First use another PC to download Clamwin portable anti-virus

    and install Clamwin portable on a USB thumb drive.

    Update the latest anti-virus definition files.

    Set the preferences to delete or move virus to a quarantine folder.

    When the USB pendrive is ready.

    Boot up the infected PC in safe mode.

    If possible, disable system restore on the infected PC.

    Run the Clamwin Anti-virus that is installed on the USB drive to scan the infected PC.

    Scan all hard drives for viruses.
