I can't get a mp4 to work on my IPhone?

Question

I converted a video to MP4 and it works on ITunes but not on my Iphone. Any ideas?

I have that same prob' on occasion. I havent quit figured out why exactly but I think it has to do with codecs.  Formats like mp4, have different codecs to accomidate the varias devices that run mp4. The iphone plays mp4 but also h.264. If you formated the video for use with the PSP for example which also plays mp4, it wont work on the iphone. Im sure, of course, you formated so that it would play on the iphone. The only suggestion I can say would be to try different formats of mp4. What ever converter you used may have a selection of formats to choose from. I usually, to fix this issue, play around with other formats and eventually I find one that works. But for one reason or another sometimes its not the format you might think. I'v had to format videos for the zune mp4 to work on the ipod even though there was an ipod mp4 in the list of formats, it just wouldnt work.

It may be wrong with the code , you can go and consult the iphone supported video on :

Then you can use iphone converter tools convert the videos to the formats iphone supported.
