  1. Switch them on ?

Mine have a separate power switch.

  2. Does your computer have a soundcard. If it doesn't then you won't get sound from it or the speakers aren't working.

  3. You at least have an "on-board" sound card, all computers do (unless if you custom built it yourself). If your speakers are good and plugged in, (if you're using Windows) go to the Start menu, Control Panel, Sounds, Speech & Audio devices, click on Sound & Audio devices, make sure that the volume is turned up and that it is not muted. If you don't already have an icon at the bottom right for your volume control, click Place volume icon in the taskbar. Go to the Audio tab, and in Sound playback make sure that you have your sound card selected. If you only have one, choose it. And finally, one more thing that you can try to do to simply troubleshoot it, it go to the Hardware tab, and click on your sound card (mine says SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio) and click on Properties. Under Device status, it should tell you wether your sound card is working properly or not, it it is not, click Troubleshoot. Worst comes to worse, click on the Drivers tab, and see if there is an update to your Sound card's driver, while rare, it does happen where a manufacturer will release an updated driver for a device that will fix bugs, or known problems with their product.

If none of these suggestions work, I recommend calling customer service of the place that you purchased your computer from, and have them walk you through the steps you need to take to get sound back! Good luck!

  4. I occasionally have the same strange problem, one minute they are fine and then nothing, or very low, crackling volume.

A reboot usually sorts them out.

    Something to try.

    Hope it helps.!

  5. Check the sound driver there. Its better to download a new version of your sound driver and install it.

    It will be alright.

If still a failure feel free to contact me at venkidwaraka@yahoo.co.in through mail or yahoo IM

    Thank YOu

  6. Ok, is it muted? Have a look at all the icons at the right of the taskbar, and see if the one that looks like a speaker has a red circle with a diagonal line through it? If so, double cllick the icon and remove mute. It  could also be that the volume is the lowest it can be, in which case turn up the volume.

  7. If you are sure they are plugged in properly then check to see if there is any software and that it is installed. If this isn't the problem check your sound settings

  8. Things to do when ever someone has something functioning wrong:

1st - check what you can do by yourself - Examine the product if it's not broken, cracked or fallen, if the cables are all ok, if its properly plugged in, and if it is turned on.

2nd - you can always check the web for new drivers and updates, or simply reinstall current ones.

3rd - The cause of malfunction might be a factory flaw, if you still have a warranty try to have a new speaker/sound-card replacing this one

4th - If its really precious to you. Take it to a service, probably it will be cheaper to have new.

5th and the last - maybe it is functioning normally you just can't believe it could be SO bad

  9. Did you recently install a new OS?

If so you may not have installed the sound drivers.

Otherwise try double clicking the speaker icon in the bottom right make sure nothing is muted and the they are all set to full volume

(particularly the master volume and wave)

  10. You put the soft ware CD , super sound as you put it all instructions given to you, you implement till cleared

    Every thing will become normal

  11. Well, this happened to me aswell on my old computer. Try putting on your speakers again, go into the system sounds, choose any sound and play it. there you have it!But sometimes it doesn't work, bad luck.I suggest you invest in buying a new sound card if that doesn't work. Thanks

  12. make sure all the drivers are updated click on system In control panel go to device manager and check there also check the sound settings
