I can't get certain features to work on my PC. help?

Hi I can't get certain features to work on my computer browser. I keep getting a message saying I need to install flash player. Every time I try to install it, I still can't seem to see it installing or working whats happening? he Java Icon has dissapeared out of the botttom task bar. Can someone help me pleas?

For the Java icon it's only there when you visit sites that need java to even load. As for flash player I had this problem several months ago and searched high and low until finally finding the solution in the adobe forums - go to your windows folder then open system32 look for the folder Macromed (C:\Windows\System32\Macromed) open this folder then to the flash folder (C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash) right click on FlashUtil9f.exe and choose to run this will install flash player.

1st. make sure you restart your browser before using flash.

2nd. if u go into control panel, add or remove programs and then look for flash player if it is there then uninstall it then install reboot computer.

3rd. if all else fails hit the computer with a hammer.(JOKE!!!)

i will do a little test of your system for you....

if the sentence below  appears to be upside down then you need to re install flash, if it is upright then your flash is fine:

google adobe flash player (make sure you download the correct version for your browser .. i.e internet explorer or firefox version etc)
