I can't get my DVD recorder to record?

I can get it to play stuff but when I put in blank DVD R disks or Blank DVD RW disks, it says "Can not record on disk". Can anyone help me?

  1. Perhaps it expects DVD+R media?

    Check the product specs about media supported.
