I can't get my HTML codes to go on MySpace. Why not?

I'm an Amazon Associate. I made a MySpace account to advertise for Amazon. I also have an aStore account to advertise, which will go on my profile. I've been trying to put the banner codes and the profile and list the items on MySpace (which is also done through HTML codes which Amazon provides.) I just don't understand why the codes won't work. I enter the code and instead of a banner showing up, the code just ends up showing up. I can't advertise this way. Help!

it's because myspace doesnt allow you to advertise commercial things like that - it's a violation of the terms of service : read it yourself.... here's a link

the code amazon gives you is for your OWN PAID FOR website, not free sites like myspace - myspace filters out all iframes and javascript and everything else that could possibly be used to advertise efficiently
