I can't get my TV audio to go through my surround sound system.?

I can get the radio through the TV, but can't get the TV's sound to go through the surr. sound speakers. We have tried s-video and the RCA cord that was supplied. Neither seem to work. If you can help me, that would be extremely appreciated.

  1. s-video is for video and you need sound.



    Connect the audio outputs of your TV (if it has them) to the TV or Aux audio inputs on your AV receiver. This allows watching standard television programs through your broadcast, cable, or satellite connection and to be able to hear stereo or surround sound audio from programs that have it, through your home theater system.

    if you want to have every thing run through your Av reciever like most people do then.....

  2. If you'r using an A/V receiver check the back of it and you should have an area for TV audio in.  you would run your rc plug from tv audio out to the rear of the receiver where it says audio in.  Hope this makes sence to you
