  1. UGH! This is such a pisser, and I have always had the same problem even though I've had contacts for years now. I just learned a lil trick to getting them in the first time almost every time last week though, and that is to pull your bottom eye lid as far down as you can so you can shove the contact in on the bottom of your eye. Then when you let go of your eye lids it slide up where it should be. Whoo-hoo! Years of aggravation after trying to put the contact directly where it should be are over! Hope this helps.

  2. I find it sometimes helps to tilt my head back just a smidgen.  Subconsciously, you're probably leaning forward to look into the mirror cuz I do that too, but if you lean back--just very slightly--it'll be that much easier for the contact to stick to your eyeball, lol.  Good luck!  It does take practice...

  3. The easiest way for me to do it is to hold open my eye, look towards my nose, and plop it on the white part of my eye.  Then I slowly look towards the contact so it gets on the front of my eye and then look around slowly and slowly close my eye.  Sometimes moving the eye too quickly can cause the contact to pop out.

If you have trouble keeping your eye open, practice without the contact.  Make sure your hands are clean and only touch the white part of your eye as you look to the side.  You really have to hold your lids tight so that you cannot blink.  Sometimes it's hard because you are concentrating on getting the contact on correctly.  Remind yourself while you are putting on the lens, "Hold my lids...hold my lids..."

Make sure your fingers are dry and the contact is wet.  Have someone watch you and let you know if your eye is open enough and your aiming correctly.  Keep trying!  Good luck!

  4. yes, lift back and tilt good luck.
