I can't get my cookies?

Question

To not taste like flour I tried adding less flour but they still have that taste I even tried adding more sugar. what gives??

they are sugar cookies btw.

How old is your flour?  If its old, that would explain the problem.  Flour has expiry dates so make sure you have really fresh flour.

Did you remember to use PURE vanilla extract, or almond extract?  ... And don't add more sugar or you'll change the ratio of the ingredients.  Make sure you're using the correct flour for the recipe (if it doesn't specify, then use all-purpose)

try a new recipe!  Nestle Tollhouse is a good place to start (back of yellow bag)

What type of flour are you using?  The recipe probably calls for All Purpose flour,  but, there are all different kinds (bread, cake, rice etc.) some lend diffferent flavors to the recipe.
