I can't get my dad to change his mind?

Question

I cleaned my room, wrote an essay, made a place for a cage, did research & took notes, bought a cage & exercise ball, made another essay, explained why I want a hamster, & did extra chores but I still can't get my dad to let me get a hamster. I asked him why & he said

( because I said NO )

Which isn't really a reason. I am out of ideas!!! Please Help Me!!! idk what else to do!!! I would pay for it but 3 months ago he made me spend all of my money on a desk which I didn't even want!!!!! And now all I have is $14. But I used to have about $300 which I had saved up for about 4 years!!!!!!!!!! So can you please help me idk what else I should do. P.S. i did try to talk to him in a very mature way but he still said NO!

erm i'm not sure how much $14 is worth, but i don't think it'll go very far in terms of buying the hamster and its food and that. he might be concerned that you'll get bored of a hamster if you got one and he might end up looking after it. maybe ask him again later when you've got a bit more cash.

Well you said you already bought the cage and excersize ball so  you shoudl use that 14 dollars to buy food and bedding. I would suggest using some hom made things to add to the cage and making a hiding hut for your hamster.

Now for convincing your Dad try making powerpoints with pictures, hamster info, and stuf like that. Also try using publisher or word to make a few brocheres and placing them in unobtrusive places, but places where he will definatly  see them. You can also bringing to a pet store and showing them to him and not ask for them. This will help show him how mature you are being about this by not start to annoy him at the petstore. This may sway him.

Oooh i had to do lots of begging for my parents to let me get a guinea pig. Then I had to beg them to let me get a CAT. Well they got enough begging, and said a guinea pig was enough....so it wasn't until they found out there were rats in the garage until i got one =P

Anyways thats just my story. For yours.....hm.Thats hard ><

I believe if you already bought some items he should let you.....how about your mom? siblings? Ask them to side with you? =P
