I can't get my memory card to pull up in My Computer so I can put files on it. What is wrong?

I have a Micro SD memory card for my phone and I put it in the adapter to put in my computer but after I put it in my computer nothing pops up. So I go to "My Computer" and try to pull it up but it's not showing up. And I don't know what to do! Please help!

For my laptop I would put in a SD memory card and it would make two beeps and do nothing.Restarted and then put memory card in worked try that it worked for me.
