I can't get my pump primed. Where would I check to see if something is prevnenting the pump?

I want to know how I check the motor to see if something is preventing pump from circuating the pool watet

This is the boats section...luckilly for you, I'm a pool expert as well!

Pull the strainer basket at the pump motor and reach in to the impellor and see if you can turn it. If it won't prime...make sure the line to the skimmer is full of water and the strainer basket at the pump before replacing the lid and starting the pump. If that doesn't work, you need to pressure test the line to the skimmer for a leak...if there is no leak you likely need a new impellor.

Mostly we find customers don't fully fill the line to the skimmer and the pump housing before start up...or we need to tighten a few hose clamps or threaded fittings.
