Question:

I can't get terrestrial signal. What can I do with a DVD/HDD recorder and a Sky Digibox?

Because my flat doesn't have two Sky feeds, I'm getting a refund on my Sky+ box because I can't programme it in advance to record things or series link etc. However, I've now discovered that my terrestrial signal is almost non-existent and to fix it is going to cost me a mint. I'm thinking of buying a DVD recorder/HDD to give me the functions the Sky+ box couldn't. Will I be able to hook up the replacement Sky Digibox to it and programme the recorder to record programmes in the future, series link etc.?

Many thanks!

  1. In a way yes it is possible to setup a DVD recorder to record programmes in a type of series link. The problem comes when you watch something on your sky and wish to record something else. Also if you are watching something and leave the sky and forget to put on station that you want to record later that day if you are not in.

Most recorders have the live pause function too.

Connecting these items some can know a source is connected to it and will request that your sure about your recording actions.

??Why can you not ave the second dish feed to your flat? If it a communal dish then i understand but in that sense so is the aerial a communal one so it a problem that should be seen to by the flat owners/builders??
