I can't get the Shake Control to work on my phone (w580i)?

Question

So I got the Sony Ericson w580i and I saw that it had Shake Control I tried to see if it worked but it wouldn't

I see that it says "Man" for Manual which means that I have to change the song on my own but I want to use the shake control. How do I make it work?

P.S. It doesn't say how to use it in the manual either
