  1. it states at the irs site that some of the checks didnt include the child tax credit do to an unchecked box on the return they will mail out the rest of your payment in july

  2. Was your child 16 or under?  Were you eligible to claim the exemption and child tax credit for both children?  If the answer to both questions is yes, then you fall into that unlucky group that didn't receive the money for the children.  You will receive it, the IRS says that the funds will be mailed in July.  Here is another number for the IRS 800-829-1040, make sure you have the time to wait on hold.

  3. If your kids are 17 or older, they did not get a stimulus payment.

If you used your children to file as head of household, but the other parent took the exemption deduction, then the other parent gets the rebate.

  4. there is a problem with the stimulus leaving out the children and IRS is working on the problem and will issue the checks at a later time.

  5. call this number, 1866-234-2942. They do take a very long time to answer but eventually you will get through. Good luck

  6. I didn't get anything for my dependent child, either. I checked with my tax guy and he said that any child turning 18 before the end of this year (my son is 17 now) is excluded from the stimulus package. I don't know if this helps you, but it's what has happened in my case. Not fair, but what can you do?
