I can't help myself from tensing my muscles in my legs and bum muscles ....

I don't know why i do this I can stop but i just do it, but i don't know why ....

  1. It's a form of isometric exercise and there is nothing wrong with that at all, unless you go around doing it in front of others, then that would be kind of strange. But otherwise isometric exercise is one of the best ways to exercise that there is.

According to a survey of over 10,000 males by the web site HealthyStrokes.com in the second half of 2007, 19.3 percent of males stretch their legs out tense almost always when they m********e, another 20.6 percent do it most of the time (a total of 39.9 percent who do it most of the time), 50.4 percent do it sometimes, and only 9.7 percent claim to never do that.

    So it is not at all weird or abnormal!!!

    I speculate that the reason people do that is because it cuts off feelings from the legs, so that they can concentrate on what they're feeling elsewhere.

  4. Maybe your mind/body is saying you'd like more exercise (as long as your not getting cramps too). Do some weights/gym/running/cycling etc.Work those muscles. And it doesn't hurt to know that you have muscles there, not flab. (Just maybe watch it if you're in front of people.)

  6. It sounds like a nervous habit. It really doesn't matter, unless you have aching muscles. Try yoga or some form of relaxation. There are a lot of good yoga relaxation DVD's. Try WalMart. Good prices there.
