Hi, I can ollie, sort of, but when the board gets up into the air it is still slanted. I don't know how to level it out. Here's what I do, please tell me if what I'm doing wrong.

1: I crouch down.

2: I jump, pushing down on the tail and sliding my foot up.

3: I pull my back foot up off the tail.

4: I land.

See, I can't even it out. I don't know how. The problem is when my board is still slanted, it barely comes off the ground. Please help.

  1. It's pretty simple. I did this also when I first started skating.  All you have to do is bring both feet up to the same height, and make sure you are centered over your board.

  2. 1: crouch

2: jump off tail and lift front foot

    3: push front foot forward

    4: land

your front foot should go up then forward, pushing the board forward thusly leveling it.

  3. You have to bring your knees up as high as you can to your chest,if it comes up slanted you need to bring your back foot up higher

  4. Bend your back knee!

  5. skateboarding isn't like making a cake! with making a cake you get the exact recipe and make it, but with skating you can't just follow instructions and expect to get a trick because if so we would all follow the recipe for triple kickflip bs smith bigspin out!

my advice is just not giving in! i had tried 360 flips for ages and then one day i tried it and landed it! after all that time it made me feel better than if i had landed it straight off. just keep trying and it WILL come!!!! and you will develop the technique.

  6. basically your doing it right, but when you ollie dont push down on the tail and slide your foot up at the same time if thats what you mean. pop it really hard and than slide your foot up after you hear the tap from the tail. When the board is in the air not only pull your back foot of the tail but push your front foot forward towards the nose of the board kind of pushing the front end down to level it out.
