I can't load my Pokemon Gold file? But I can save?

Question

So I got a Gameboy Color today.

And I got Pokemon Gold.

You know-- 2nd season. Has Ho-Oh on the cartridge?

I try saving after I get my starter--

Cyndaquil, Totodile, Chikorita.

And I shut it off... And I turn it back on

only to see the options--

>NEW GAME

OPTION

Where the h**l is "RESUME" or "CONTINUE"?

Do I have to get so far to save?

Or is it my Gameboy Color?

-- And yes. i made sure it FINISHED saving before turning the game off.

I'm a bit ticked. oO

The poer is red... Is it always red?

Is it just because of the power? Or my Gameboy Color?

I'll stop babbling now.

ok u can buy a new one. the game boy color is really inferior id go with the game boy advance if you wanna play game boy color and game boy advance games. (poor quality). you can get a ds and play the really good quality games and have acces to wi fi. i have all of them buy my fav game and device is pokemon diamond and my ds

Internal battery is dead.

In other words, you need to buy another copy of the game from somewhere. Try Gamestop, they check them.

It is the Gameboy itself(Like you,I went thru this exact problem...) I've Had My Gameboy 4 A long time (6yrs)And I Have Pokemon Silver...That Happens 2 Me Also... Its probably the Memory that is gone(I know you can save but...)But I Do Not Know How 2 Fix It..Hope It Helps..

it's more than likely something is wrong with the game if you just bought it then i wwould return it because most games that are that old are used and returneed meening the person who previously owned it messed it up

your gameboy should be fine

the power on a gameboy is always red it becomes green on the advanced or sp

but the power varies its bright red meens full dim meens half

ver very dim meens you need new batteries so pay attention too it

thats all i know hope it goes well

and i recommened getting a new game gold is old unfortunently

or if u want keeptrying diffrent storesits very cheap too buy im guessing 5-12 bucks max in that range
