Question:

I can't locate my disk drive on the system when trying to reinstall my router?

I know HOW to search for the drives but when I put the installation CD in for my router it's supposed to pop up with install instructions but doesn't. I'm trying to manually go to the CD and get it to run but can't even locate the disk drive. It's my daughter's computer and it's messed with viruses too which I assume is causing the Install window not to pop up. Many thanks!

  1. Routers do not require drivers.  Sometimes they will include a CD with an application to help you get connected to your router/switch, but with the default settings there should be no problem.  Plug n' play.

If you cannot connect to your router it's most likely a connection problem (as in not plugged in) or a virus problem.
