  1. call your telephone company provider so they will fix it for you.

must be your phone low battery. make it sure just call your provider that is what i do just call or e-mail them. or stop by at the office.

  2. Maybe you didnt pay the phone bill.

  3. One reason is that maybe you forgot to pay your bills. If not, go to your service provider and ask for a technician / lineman to check your landline phone. Hope this helps.

  4. 1- some companies cut outgoing before suspending the entire line for lack of a payment, if you are getting the "if you need to call the police, fire, or medical emergency" recording, then the payment was not recived by your phone company

2- you may be required to dial the full 10 digit number, including 1 and the area code even for local calls...

3- your keypad on your phone may be defective...

4- not all the time, but sometimes when there are troubles placing outgoing calls, putting your phone into pulse mode will allow you to dial out (will not work with VoIP service)
