Question:

I can't remember the name of this card game?

I remember playing this card game once or twice at a friend's house a year or two ago, though for the life of me I can't remember the name - all I remember is that it had some really random starter rules, and the object was to get rid of all of your cards. The entire deck was dealt out, and people took turns putting cards down one at a time. If you played a certain card, you had to do something (I think there was a rule about sevens, and about Kings, can't remember those, though.) And then, if you won a round, you got to make up a rule, and it could be anything, like "scratch your nose when you play a three" or "Sing the chorus of 'Girlfriend' by Avril Lavigne when you play a heart".

Please help me figure out the name - I want to look it up so that I can remember completely how to play. =]

  1. This oculd be one of two games: Kings, or Mao.

Kings is traditionally a drinking game. The meaning of the cards have many different variations depending on who you are playing with, but when you draw a queen you get to make a rule.

Mao is a bit harder to learn, in that you have to learn the rules by playing (you are not suppose to know them going in, thats part of the game actually), and you do end up making new ones as well. It's also a mostly silent game.

  2. Mao?
