I can't remember the title of a book I read when I was little.?

Question

The book was about three cats, and I think they were "alley" cats and they were trying to escape? I thought the book was titled something like "The Great Escape" but I can't seem to find it. I remember what the cover looked like, it had three gray cats on it and I think it was raining and there was a trash can. Does anyone know the name of the book I am talking about?

sounds like it could be in the "Warriors" series or releated to Pickles The Fire Cat I hope that helps.
