I recently bought a analog to digital converter box (the RCA they sell at walmart) and I went to antenna web. org to see what channels I can see and i'll look at the digital only channel list and I can see all the UHV channels clearly but channels like 7.1 (VHF) and stuff wont come up. Type in Zip Code "93235" and look what I mean. I can see all the channels except 5.1 and 7.1. My antenna is a TERK TV5 which supports VHF

  1. At the present time, almost all digital broadcasts in most areas are in the UHF band.  The station may show ch 7.1 or 11.1, but in actuality it is broadcasting (in most cases) on a different (UHF) frequency.  After the digital transition, some stations may change to upper VHF frequencies.

I checked the zip code you gave, and found KAIL on 7.1 and KNSO on 5.  Note that KNSO moves to 11.1 after the transition.

In my area, KGO-DT ch 7.1 transmits on UHF ch 24.  After the transition, its frequency will move to VHF ch 7.
