  1. Hey Joe, SkiMan here.  Jumping as well as skiing is all about confidence and commitment.  By your question your confidence seems to end at 5 feet.  First of all never say "what if" because that thought will put your body where your mind is every time.  More air is in your take off.  Approach your jump with speed both feet even squat and spring up at the top of the ramp.  When you take off, jump straight up don't lean forward or backward but jump straight up this will set your balance for air time.  Once in the air do your thing, a good start is bend your legs drop your tips and straighten em out for your landing.  Landing with knees slightly bent feet even setting down equally and at the same time, stick it and press on.  Lots more to it but that's a start.  Biggest suggestions are confidence commitment and no what ifs.  SkiMan out.

  2. hey!

that's so random, I ski grouse / seymour as well!

I'm not good at park, but you can try bending your legs in the air so it won't look pencily. and try finding natural things to jump off of too, like rollers or snow at the side of the runs (but make sure they're within your ability).

  4. Alright, well what you want to do is approach the jump head on, and when you are approaching the jump carve a little from side to side to get your speed right. Once you get to the lip, you want to crouch and once your tips start to go off, you want to pop off of it. The only way to really get it down is to just keep practicing it and tweaking it. Then the landing is fairly easy once you get it. You want to straighten your legs a bit before impact, then as you land bend your knees and absorb the impact, then recover, and ride away.  You'll probably have to spend a bit of time in the park tweaking your jumps, but jus like keep playing with it, and figure out what works best for you.

  5. Hey Im at Grouse too!

if its the top jump in the rookie terrain park then just make sure that you lean forward and pop off of the lip. If its the second one then pretty much do the same thing but just be ready to get a bit more air!
