I have installed the game age of empires the asian dynasties and it does not automatically make a desktop icon for the game. I have reinstalled the game but nothing occurs. The only game it makes a desktop icon for is age of empires 3 but not for the expansion packs like the warchiefs. I have also gone to all programs and gone under Microsoft games and the only game that my computer seems to be detecting is age of empires 3 no expansion packs, even though I am able to run all 3 games. I play the asian dynasties all the time but whenever I am using it and I close the game or something and I come back and try to run it again it will not start. I insert the cd but will not show the me the start up menu for the game so what I do is just restart the computer and run the game again and it seems to work like that. But Iam tired of restarting my computer everytime it doesn't show the start up menu for the game.So I want to make a shortcut for the game help!!! I am using windows Vista Home Prem

  1. If you still need the CD to run it, I advise you to copy the whole installer to your hard drive to avoid inserting the CD back again.

For the shortcut, go to the application folder of your game. Right click the Game Launcher(or the exe file where you use to start the game). When you right click, a menu will appear and you should see "Create shortcut on desktop".Select it and now you can run the program using the shorcut on the desktop.
