I can't send emails to my group?

I am the moderator of a group and have just set it up. I can not seem to send an email to the group, I get a return email telling me that there is no such group. What am I doing wrong.

make sure the e-mail you're sending from is the one checked as memberships use- be sure you're sending to the correct address, sounds dumb but it happens- also there is a setting under edit membership of ID's that can be checked to disallow that person from posting, I have no ide what happens if one tries to post if they're set not to-
