  1. I used to have really bad nightmares, and still do sometimes but I learned to accept them for what they are, they're only dreams and they cant hurt you, although I do understand that it can be quite terrifying sometimes. I somehow managed to be able to wake myself up from these dreams or turn the dreams around into good dreams while dreaming them but I cant tell you how Ive managed to do that Im afraid. Maybe you could try drinking some camomile tea before bedtime and putting a few drops of lavender oil on your pillow to help you relax?

  2. Leave the TV and the light on. Make sure you put on a channel that goes to infomercials after the programs have finished so you don't end up listening to horror films or anything in your sleep!

Once you are past this little blip and sleeping ok, turn the TV off, then a bit later change to a lamp instead of the main light and then eventually you can turn the lamp off when you don't go to bed feeling scared and with dread, and the dreams won't come.

I had a horrid nightmare last Saturday about my exhusband, I got up and went to sleep on the living room couch with the light and TV on to feel like I had company. It wasn't fair to wake D up and say I was scared, and besides, I felt silly saying it.

  3. hi Eden, try getting into a routine before going to bed. one of the biggest things to start nightmares is watching scary things on the tv, so if you must watch it, try and find something gentle. better still, find a nice gentle or funny book to read before you go to sleep. bananas are very good at night time as they make you peaceful, as does chamomile tea. cheese is another thing that gives nightmares so try and avoid it at night. if things in your life are worrying you that too can bring all sorts of fears into your sleep. try praying to God at night and asking Him to protect you and give you peace while you sleep. sweet dreams x

  4. Try not to eat right before going to bed and try to eat a healthy dinner -- stay away from sugars, processed foods, or heavy foods. While you're lying in bed, try to think of and picture something pleasant, such as a family vacation that was really nice. If you know what your nightmare is, try to think of it during the day, but change the scary parts to good things. For instance, if the nightmare has a monster trying to hurt you, change it to your mother giving you a present. Also, look up 'relaxation techniques' and find one that you can do right before you fall asleep. The nightmares will go away.

  5. start smoking some pot.  it will help you sleep andddd u usually dont remember your dreams when you go to sleep high....

    good luck.
