I can't stand the White Sox, but how sick is Alexi Ramirez?

The plays I see this guy make in the field amaze me sometimes. For how small he is he hits for power. He seems to constantly come through in clutch situations. He and Carlos Quentin seem to be carrying the White Sox and without these 2 I don't think they're the same team or in the position they're in.

  1. pretty sick

  2. This kid is a guaranteed ALROY this year. I thought that Evan Longoria would take it but the DL has really hurt his chances. Alexei has been on a rampage!

He is going to be a great player watch out for him.

  3. He is gonna be better next year when cabrera is gone and he gets to play shortstop.

  4. yeah hes having an amazing season. Alexi Ramirez is a regular on BBTN's web jems...its crazy. and like you said hes hitting well...and for power. not to mention he has a really cool name...Alexi :D

  5. Alexei never ceases to amaze me.  He is a really fun player to watch.  He makes incredible plays on the field, and can really hit the ball.  He looks like a twig, but is actually so strong.  In a few years I bet he will be more of a base stealing threat too.

  6. He is an outstanding player who should get rookie of the year & his stats are better than Evan Longoria of the Rays except for homeruns & rbis

  7. I saw that play today and it was crazy. Alexie is batting like 470 risp

  8. yes his .328 on base percentage is indeed "sick"

but not in a good way

  9. Hopefully he gets rookie of the year. But the east coast already gave the award to Longoria.

  10. He's good. You said it best, he and Quentin are carrying the team. Clutch players that you can count on when you need that base-hit or that extra run. But it's still the Sox..

    Go Cubs!

  11. and he wasnt even playing his normal position today he, he made that play from thrid he is pretty much a ba

  12. Pretty sick. Considering the Cubs, Yankees, & RedSox all didnt want him saying his style of play wouldn't work in the big leagues.

  13. Well it's good to know you can't stand the White Sox, but as a White Sox fan I've seen Alexei play a lot and he truly is a real baseball player. He can hit. He doesn't try to hit homers and he plays 2B very well for SS being his natural position.

I think for ANY first place team you have certain guys that without the team wouldn't be the same. Carlos Quentin and Alexei Ramirez are two big ones for the White Sox. They were both amazing additions for the White Sox and it just comes to show that White Sox GM Kenny Williams knows what he's doing....even though I'm sure he didn't even predict this kind of success from them.

Of course there are other key players to the White Sox success as well. Jermaine Dye gets overlooked a lot because of Quentin. AJ Pierzynski has played consistent ball all season and John Dank and Gavin Floyd carried the pitching staff early on.

Bottom line I agree he def. is sick.

  14. alexi who?
