I can't tell what type of fish this is? [pics]?

Question

We just caught this fish from a pond, it looks like a goldfish but at the pond we caught it from there were alot of koi. Do you think it could be a baby koi? or what is it?

You need to put it back in the pond where it came from. Its really cruel to take it out of its natural environment.

I would say you are not ready to be caring for a rock, let alone a live goldfish. I'm afraid you just don't have the brain power to take on that kind of responsibility. If you "LUVE" him so much, let him go.

koi have barble's or wiskers so to speak and this fish doesn't if this was a gold fish pond that isn't yours than you stole someones fish and should return it

That my friend, is a comet goldfish.  It requires a tank that is at least 50 gallons, because they p**p A LOT and naturally produce a lot of ammonia which will build up and kill the fish.  PLEASE PUT THE FISH BACK IN THE POND.  If it is true love you will let it live in the pond,  I garrentee that the fish will die soon in your tank once it can no longer grow because the fish is too small.  If you love him put him back in the pond before he dies!  I hope you make the best decision.......

Its a comet gold fish not a koi. koi have barbel's or whiskers and this fish doesn't. they sell the same exact fish in pet stores, take a look.

Comet goldfish. Better off in the pond, unless you have a 50 gallon tank laying around??  He will get about a foot long, so unless you have a 50 gallon tank, it is best to let him go back in the pond you  found him!
