I can't trust my best friend anymore. What should I do?

I've known her for 5 years, and I thought we were good friends, but it seems she tells everything I tell her to one of her guy friends. I know they've known each other a year longer, but I thought that we were closer friends.

This guy friend of hers is not someone I trust. He likes to make fun of me, and I can never defend myself properly. He's embarrassed me in front of entire classes.

Sometimes, when that guy talks to me, he insinuates stuff. Stuff that only my best friend would know. It's infuriating, because I keep her secrets. Every time I vow not to tell her something, I break that promise. Because I keep thinking that she won't tell, and I make her swear not to tell. I don't know what to do anymore...

well is obviously not your best friend any more.

Don't tell her intimate and private details any more. You cant trust her so don't try to push it.

As for the guy, usually i would say ignore him, but, two can play at his game :) use ur imagination

First of all if you do not trust her to where you cannot tell her anything stop sharing your business with her. Whats the point of sharing your secret life with her if she keeps running back and telling him. Your going to one day tell her something that'sgoing to haunt you for the rest of your life and then your not going to like her at all. Becareful what you tell anyone you cannot trust everyone with your secrets. That way if you don't share any of your business with anyone that jerk can't use your business against you or embarrass you in front of the class. I would also confront your friend and ask her why is she sharing your business with him and let her know he's spreading your business about you in your class room to the other students let her know she promised to keep your business confidential and now you can't trust her anymore. Basically she let you down embarrassed you so how could you come to her if she can't keep a secret.

speak with your friend, if she doesn't care about your security either stop being her friend or tell her things that are like secrets and sound like secrets but aren't secrets and that you aren't afraid people will know

have a talk with her about how this guy is hinting that he knows stuff about you that only SHE would know because shes the only you told because you thought you could trust her. ask her how she would feel if you went and told someone all the stuff she told you and then they started making fun of her and embarrasing her. if she is truely your friend she will apologize and not allow it to happen again and understand where you are coming from and if not then you need to go look for a new friend, or you just cant tell her anything anymore, which is no fun because people usually like to tell thier best friends everything and believe that theyre not going to tell anyone

you can either dump her for breaking promises because best friends shouldn't break promises o

or you can confront her and tell her why you broke the promises you made. but if you don't nothing well change i had a similar problem until i had enough and confronted her. oh and about that  guy don't take **** from him, stand up to him like tell him shut up,ignore him, man don't you have anything better to do, or better punch him (maybe not but thats what i did) don't tell your best friend anything else just remember that she betrayed you good luck! it may be hard but don't worry!

OMG.... I thought i was the only girl that had that problem.... my old best friend of almost 8 years always had to tell everything to some guy we went to high school with n this happens to be my boyfriends cousin now.....she hooked us up n now she tries to start rumors to break us up.... just be careful i don't want u to end up like me girls r big time haters n u gotta be careful before they do u wrong i didn't ever expect er to do me the way she did..., but i guess people change for a reason n u just learn in life to trust no one but yourself
