I can't turn my water off?!?! HELP!!?

Question

I turned off my hot water faucet after a shower, and about 5-10 minutes later I hear my faucet start up and now it's coming out full blast, I can't turn it off the faucet just spins and the water main valve is stuck!! Or I'm too weak to turn it but I tried with everything I had... now I have a shower running and no hot water and I can't stop it...what am I supposed to do??

Don't call me crazy but 911 will send a officer and more than likely they will turn your water off at the meter for you. That'll shut all the water to the house off.

Find your water heater. There's a valve on the cold water line coming into it. Try turning that valve off. If you can turn it, it will stop the faucet from running until you can repair it.

Go to the meter box and shut off the meter........if not go to the hot water tank and shut off both valves and turn of the electricity to the tank..............hope it works........should be a valve under the sink....or another shut off in unit.......hurry

Hi If its eletric turn that of first (dry yourself off first)

Then look under the sink there should be a water turn off point there, you might need a flat screwdriver to turn off this or it could be like tap under the sink.
