I can't view my pictures I put on a CD?

I copied pictures from my digital camera to a CD on one computer, and now on a different computer I put the CD in and there's nothing to see. Are they gone????

  2. Ok, I can think of a few things that might be a problem. When you burned the cd, you might not have closed the session, so the TOC file was not created.

    Another issue I have seen, you might have formatted the cd to only be viewed on that cd drive, there is an option when you close if you want to view it on other drives.

    My suggestion, go back to the original computer, and see if you can copy them off. If they don't show up there, they could be gone.

    Another idea, maybe they are hidden, and if you select the option on your computer to show all files, they might show up there too.

    Can you do a properties on the cd and does it show that there is something there? If not, then it might not have burned properly.

    I can't think of the program, but I do have one back home that allowed me to recover files from a hard drive that the computer otherwise wouldn't recognize. It like an undelete program, that saved my butt, and could recover the pictures, if you don't have success with these other ways, or if you don't have a back up of the pictures elsewhere.
