Question:

I can't watch movies in front of others...?

I was inspired by the person who didn't like listening to music in front of others to post this question, since I have been having a problem with this for a while.

I really hate watching romantic movies/action movies with other people, because sometimes I cry or (laugh as much as you want) make a comment to the TV screen when something interesting happens.

This whole thing is really annoying, especially since my two favorite movies, V for Vendetta and Pride and Prejudice, are two movies I have trouble feeling comfortable viewing in front of others.

Any advice is welcome...

  1. Well just try to watch the movie by yourself then watch it with other

then compare with one you felt comfortable with

if like it when you saw the movie with others then your done.

but if you didn't then you need to think what they are paying attention to

obviously they are going to be watching the movie and not paying attention to you are they?

  2. I wouldn't lose sleep over this.

Some people love watching movies and want experience everything the character is experiencing and really just be ABSORBED by the movie... and this really only is possible if viewed alone. Also, some people are just embarrased to be seen so absorbed in the movie.

I personally share your preference to watch movies alone.

Also, I love stories, and people usually talk during movies and distract me so I save silly comedies, chick-flicks, or lame slashers for when me and my friends just want to relax. That way, everyone is happy.

If you do want to change this, don't take the movie so seriously, and know it's fake... but that takes the fun out of it :P

Either way, good luck! : )
