I can access emails from my old mobile but not my new one?

I'm with Vodafone and with my old phone (Nokia 7210) I can get my emails from btinternet (yahoo) but when I log in with the new one (Samsung D900i-same mobile number transferred to new phone) with my email address and password it tries to log-in then just returns to the log-in screen again with no explanation or error message. I have phoned Yahoo who were not too helpful, and visited their website also Samsungs, still no reason why the old phone can access my mail using the same log-in details, but not the new one. Any ideas anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Alf

you should configure your email on your new phone.you try to read on your phone manual it's there.

It could be something easy like setting up a email account and a email address with the new phone worth a try.
