Your tranquility

Is the anchor

That secures a position

For my restless life

Intrigued by art and wit

I oft pursue attainable beings.

They cannot fasten me,

I am protected by you.

Two cusps joined

To create that ephemeral moon

The night we met, and in the dark

You sustained me

What erratic whim of

Which eccentric god

Thought this?

You keep us

In harmony

Bliss!

  1. Nice poem. Can't you do both? Give the poem & a gift.

  2. It is actually a really good poem

Give a poem, and one red rose with it

It would make anyone's day, and it is romantic.

  3. try memorizing it and reciting it to her and then hand her something symbolic...

    My critique:

your golden pen, it writes with wit

connects ur mind and plays with it

    it swims through your memories

    through emotions with a WHIZ

    it creates a picture

    from what it's not

    creates a fixture

of a story and a plot

    ...symbolic poem of urs...NICE!

    p.s. i'm a preteenwuldn't know nothin bout this stuf

  4. I'm not great at gift giving, but if you think the person is receptive to a piece of creative effort that is only for him/her, the send the poem. Buy (or make on your computer) a blank card and print (or type in nice font) the piece.

But if in doubt, do both.

  5. Good, I think handwritten on colored paper would add a nice element. Maybe black paper and white ink, dunno, just a thought.

  6. if the person is materialistic then you should give something. if the person is the romantic type then you should give the poem and perhaps some flowers... if you are not sure then give both some gift and the poem...
