I can connect to the network on my laptop, but not the interent?

Question

On my laptop, I can connect to the home computers network but then it does not let me connect to the internet from there. On the computer, the LAN plug light remains orange (trying to connect) and does not turn green.

Any suggestions please?

Try pressing the CTRL button and F2 at the same time. Alternatively, go to START, CONTROL PANEL and look at your INTERNET OPTIONS for in case you are missing a setting of some sort. Go to CONNECTIONS to see what you need to do. There is often a help option somewhere on your computer which can give you further advice

You may need a wep key (this on a sticker on the router usually) or a passcode you entered when setting up the network.

Well have you check your internet respond on the bottom left of your screen? Or otherwise click the 'all network place' in the start button. Then see whether your laptop have connected to a router. If not, right click it and choose repair.
