  1. I'm not sure about a formal answer, but the way I learned how to do it was by walking my feet up a wall; taking my feet off if even for a second when you get as far up as you are tall.  Does this make sense? lol, you could always have someone help you by holding your legs steady while you're up.

  2. According to a gymnast friend, the best way is to do a handstand in front of a stable wall and also have a friend to help you.  You have to get in somersault position and try to flip/kick your legs up until it hits the wall.  Basically a friend is there to sort you out and you'll end up leaning upside down against the wall.  I have never done this, but once with a couple of practice, you should be able to do it without the friend and eventually without the wall.

  3. maybe try doing it by leaning up against a wall first for support?

  4. .

  5. If you have a friend what you can do is get into the hand stand position and have your friend hold your legs. Then have him/her let go of it and then you practice balancing when you are about to fall him him/her catch you, or just fall and then start over again. It's all about balance and requires minimal upper body strength. If you're alone then do a hand stand against the wall with your butt touching the wall then slowly walk away from the wall with your hands and practice balancing.
