I heard you can boil it and add an enzyme to it to make a mash.

  1. You could use an enzyme to break it down into its sugars but it's simpler just to use table sugar. You could actually use any form of sugar such as milk, pop, whatever. Once you have some form of sugar you add yeast to it, keep it warm, and let it ferment. The product will be ethanol mixed in with a bunch of other nasty c**p. You could theoretically drink this and get drunk but it'd taste terrible. In order to get only the ethanol you need to distill it.

  3. The enzyme you are looking for is called Alpha Amylase, boiling it would be a no-no. 212F is too hot, 185F is ideal. Make the mixture 30-33% solids with a pH of 5.4. There is your mash...
