  1. It depends upon the file you're downloading, seeding problem may also be one of them if you're downloading a torrent file.

  2. The download MAX is determined by the source supplying your download at the time.

It's Like... you got a 132K bucket but the tap's only dripping at 17K!

    S'normal!

  3. this must be preview dude ......otherwise use an download manager or torrent downloader u may get those speeds,,and even check for virus and spyware

  4. They're different units of calculation, actually. It's rated in kilobits per second, while your download speeds are kilobytes per second.

For example. There are 8 "bits" in a "byte." If your download speed is 8mbps, (in this case, mbps means "megabites per second), then your actual download speed is 1,000,000 bytes per second, because there are 8 bits in a byte. (The actual download speed in this case would be approximately 977kbps, where kbs is kilobytes a second.)

It's confusing, yes, but your speed test results are accurate.

  5. Because your upload and download speed aren't kbps it's kbs.

8kbps=1 kbs your speed is 142,142 divided by 8 = 17.75  and you're getting 18-20 which is correct.
