This is not counting the over 10,000 bills in the state senate.

Obama:

Senate Accomplishments:

Since entering the U.S. Senate in January 2005, Senator Obama has written approximately 890 bills and co-sponsored an additional 1096.

Senators Obama and McCain have been running to be the nominee for President for their parties since January 2007. Therefore the 890 bills written by Senator Obama and the 1096 he co-sponsored all occurred in a 2-year span. That shows that he is a prolific and tireless Senator.

Because of the long-drawn-out nature of passing laws in the Senate many of his bills are still in committee and some were vetoed by republicans. Senator Obama has an impressive record by anyone’s standard.

For someone who supposedly has no record (according to his competitors) his record of accomplishments are extraordinarily impressive and inspiring.

· Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act.(This is the first federal legislation to be enacted with Obama as its primary sponsor) Became law

· Secure Fence Act. Authorized construction of fencing and other security improvements along the United States–Mexico border

Became law

· The Lugar–Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act. The Bill expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons, including shoulder-fired missiles and anti-personnel mines Became Law

· The “Coburn–Obama Transparency Act” eliminated gifts of travel on corporate jets by lobbyists to members of Congress and the establishment of USAspending.gov , a web search engine launched in December 2007 and run by the Office of Management and Budget to require lobbyists to disclose the candidates, leadership PACS or political parties for whom they collect or arrange contribution and the combined amount of the contributions Became law

· Amendment to the State Children’s Health Insurance Program providing one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries Passed in Senate

· Energy Policy Act of 2005 to add $200 million for Function 270 (Energy) for the demonstration and monitoring of carbon capture and sequestration technology by the Department of Energy Passed in Senate

· The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act (after amendments became the Secure Fence Act which became law) Passed in Senate

· Education Bill. Require that the Director of Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education to establish a program to recruit and provide mentors for women and underrepresented minorities who are interested in careers in mathematics, science and engineering. Passed in Senate

· Summer Term Education Program. Supports summer learning opportunities for low-income students in the early grades to lessen summer learning losses that contribute to the achievement gaps separating low-income students from their middle-class peers Passed in Senate

· Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007 a bill to cap troop levels in Iraq, begin phased redeployment, and remove all combat brigades from Iraq before April 2008. Republicans voted against

· Iran Sanctions Enabling Act supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran’s oil and gas industry Republicans voted against

· Sponsored an amendment to the Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges, and calling for an official review following reports that the procedure had been used inappropriately to reduce government costs Republicans voted against

  1. Um. She had 5 kids.

But, then again... I can have 10 kids with my eyes closed...

& my hands tied behind my back... skeet skeet!

    (Ok, that was retarded. LMAO)

  2. Let me just correct your first point.  If you think that Senators actually sit down and write the bills themselves, you are very, very sorely mistaken.  That's taken care of by the office staff (of about 40 per candidate) and then the Senator simply has to sign it.

Co-sponsoring a bill involves little more than a signature and a smile.  I won't even bother trying to correct the others.

And you know what is really funny?  Palin (as a VP candidate) still has more experience than Obama (the Presidential candidate) =]

  3. Try to use google to find some related links or you could try to use answer engines like yahoo answer or answer.com to find some relevant questions. If you like some direct resource, here is a good one from my own experience.http://heath-insurance.tips-free.info/he...

  4. That

    shouldn't

    be

    too

    hard.

  5. In Alaska, Governor Palin challenged a corrupt system and passed a landmark ethics reform bill. She has actually used her veto and cut budgetary spending. She put a stop to the 'bridge to nowhere' that would have cost taxpayers $400 million dollars.

Above was cut and paste from one site.  My words now.  She gave a good speech today, that qualifies your guy right?

  6. 890 bills is a lot to write in 600 something days. Not omitting vacations and sick days.

List your sources I don't believe you, especially being a citizen of Illinois.

  7. She's a hockey mom.  She was the mayor of a town that's constantly dark for six months a year.  And she's governor of the state that's closest to Russia.  And as Fox News said, this gives her foreign relations experience.

  8. I thought about telling you how Palin has actually done something to cut government waste.

How she reduced the wasteful spending in Alaska.

How she, as an executive of a state accused people in her own party of being corrupt.

But then I went back and looked at your post.  OBAMA has said that he wrote over 800 bills--and cosponsored over 1000.  Wow---that is quite an accomplishment.  considering he only served 143 days in the senate before going on the campaign trail.

What does that work out to ----8 bills a day by himself and ten bills a day as a cosponsor.

Does that not just strike you as ludicrous.

So your idea of accomplishment is to bloat the federal beauracracy to the point that it collapses in on all of us.

If OBAMA remains true to course--by the time he gets out of office in 8 years----he will have regulated how much toilet paper you get to use on an hourly basis.

BY THE WAY--a bill that ties our MILITARY'S hands in IRAQ--I don't consider an accomplishment---I consider it a good way to lose a war that we have to win.

  9. You list of Obama's accomplishments are the ones obama got caught lying about three times! Hears something new to you .It's called the truth.Read on: .) Selma Got Me Born - NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965. (Google 'Obama Selma' for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.)

2.) Father Was A Goat Herder - NOT EXACTLY, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.

3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter - NOT EXACTLY, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent governments Kenya has ever had.

4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - NOT EXACTLY, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your half-brother, Abongo Obama, is Odinga's follower. You interrupted your New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone. Check out the following link for verification of that....and for more.

Obama's cousin Odinga in Kenya ran for president and tried to get Sharia muslim law in place there. When Odinga lost the elections, his followers have burned Christians' homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter.. Obama SUPPORTED his cousin before the election process here started. Google Obama and Odinga and see what you get. No one wants to know the truth.

5.) My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian - NOT EXACTLY, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own interviews. Not to mention, Christianity wouldn't allow her to have been one of 14 wives to 1 man

6.) My Name is African Swahili - NOT EXACTLY, your name is Arabic and 'Baraka' (from which Barack came) means 'blessed' in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.

Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President.

Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and

43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African ***** from his father's side.

While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya, his father's family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African ***** and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African *****). From....and for more....go to.....

7.) I Never Practiced Islam - NOT EXACTLY, you practiced it daily at school, where you were registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years, until your wife made you change, so you could run for office. 4-3-08 Article "Obama was 'quite religious in islam'" http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.vie...

8.) My School In Indonesia Was Christian - NOT EXACTLY, you were registered as Muslim there and got in trouble in Koranic Studies for making faces (check your own book). February 28, 2008. Kristoff from the New York Times a year ago: Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it'll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset." This is just one example of what Pamela is talking about when she says "Obama's narrative is being altered, enhanced and manipulated to whitewash troubling facts."

9.) I Was Fluent In Indonesian - NOT EXACTLY, not one teacher says you could speak the language

10.) Because I Lived In Indonesia, I Have More Foreign Experience - NOT EXACTLY, you were there from the ages of 6 to 10, and couldn't even speak the language. What did you learn, how to study the Koran and watch cartoons.

11.) I Am Stronger On Foreign Affairs - NOT EXACTLY, except for Africa (surprise) and the Middle East (bigger surprise), you have never been anywhere else on the planet and thus have NO experience with our closest allies.

12.) I Blame My Early Drug Use On Ethnic Confusion - NOT EXACTLY, you were quite content in high school to be Barry Obama, no mention of Kenya and no mention of struggle to identify - your classmates said you were just fine.

13.) An Ebony Article Moved Me To Run For Office - NOT EXACTLY, Ebony has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn't, and never did, exist.

14.) A Life Magazine Article Changed My Outlook On Life - NOT EXACTLY, Life has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn't, and never did, exist.

15.) I Won't Run On A National Ticket In '08 - NOT EXACTLY, here you are, despite saying, live on TV, that you would not have enough experience by then, and you are all about having experience first.

    16.) Voting

  10. Wow, I can't believe you spent the time to write that on a format that might get one hundred people to read it.  Who cares about whose performances?  After Dubya, I doubt either can be worse.

  11. 1st Poster displays incredible irony.

  12. What is it about Palin that has you guys so worried?  Seriously.   That's all you people have been doing all day and all night long is trying to attack Palin.   It's sad.
