  1. I have this same freaking problem,is soo annoying.

Its because you are probably anticipated/nervous about going to school the next day.

You mind is just racing with thoughts of what it will be like, and all that other stuff.

Do NOT take sleeping pills, because they will make you very drowsy when you wake up,and you will feel really bad.

I guess my best advice would be to take a warm bath/shower around say 8 or 9,then drink some warm tea,and go read like a book for like 30 min-1 hour.

Then after reading, you can maybe write on a peice of paper or journal any thoughts/concerns that are racing through your brain.

This will help you not worry so much, almost like realeasing them out of your brain.

Then go lay down in your bed,and make sure all of your lights are out.

Also if you have an alarm clock with a green led light, then put something in front or it,or turn it around, because the led rays from the light will distract your eyes.

If at any time you find your brain racing again, then get out of bed,and go into another room, with light activity, and just sit there for a few minutes and think, then just go lay back down.

Some tips for things not to do,would be:

    Sit on bed with laptop

and Lay in bed while watching tv.

    Hope I could help :D

  2. Try to eat a turkey sandwich with some milk before you go to bed. Both foods have been proved to make you sleepy.

  3. The problem you are having is that your mind is racing, and sleep can only be attained when both the mind and the body are relaxed. Try and stay in one place instead of tossing and turning. Also, try as best you can to keep your mind clear of school. Watch the History channel for an hour before you go to sleep, or better yet, CNN. Two channels that never fail in putting me off to sleep. If the above doesn't work, keep in one spot, with your eyes closed, and don't move, or open them.

  4. maybe you should wake up extra early the morning prior so you will be sleepy that night... i dont recommend pills or anything like that cause i dont know about you but I tend to sleep through my alarm clock when i take anything

  5. Take an over the counter sleeping pills about  30 min before bedtime. They might make you feel really bad when you wake up, though.

If you don't like this, try a natural med called ''melatonin'  I take  5mg and it does not make you feel funny while falling asleep and doesn't make you feel bad when you wake up.

It makes me just feel normal.

  6. I use to have the same problem the trick is believe that is not a big deal don't do a huge fuss about it, if you where like me  the night before I would pick out what I was going to wear, leave my backpack in the living room with all the supplies bla bla bla.

That just anticipates your nervousness/excitement try to look at it as  what  would you do on a normal school day. You will get over it, over time trust me I am my second 3 year of college.

P.S if you can't sleep try not think about what will happen that makes it worse.

  7. It's probably the excitement and anxiety of starting the new school year that keeps you awake. Well, that and the fact that everyone usually stays up later during the summer.

Try to do something that makes you tired before going to bed, like reading. Then, just relax yourself and clear your mind...count sheep, lol.

If nothing works, just get up and go to back to bed when you're tired. The next night, I bet you'll fall asleep easily! :]

  8. OMG ME TOO!

I don't know but you get a star!

    Thank you for asking this.

  9. I never go to sleep either, I go to bed around 4 am, and wake up around 1pm.

Try running around all day, like  run as far as you can, right before you want to go to sleep, you will be real hyper for a while, then you will litteraly fall to the ground and sleep like a baby!

  10. aweee thats wayyy cute

    :)

    yer probably just exciteddd

    try sleeping pills

and if you want something more natural try melatonin

    try reading before bed,

light candles and try to RELAX

    good luck

    :)

  11. Its 3:30am RIGHT NOW.. i went to sleep at 10 and woke up now. Ill go back to sleep in like an hour and wake at 3. So i have the SAME problem. And schools starting in 2 weeks and i need to wake up 5:30am so i need to nip this in the bud right now. ANYWAYS this is how i fix my screwed up sleepy pattern.

Take a shower at 9. Long enough that ur body winds down and relaxes. Go grab you some relaxing Tea. Ready a book (I usually fall asleep reading) for 30 minutes. Turn your lights OFF. Leave your TV on for 30 minutes or so cuz no one likes laying in the dark not tierd. It will only cause you to get up. Dont watch the TV turn your back to it so you still hear the sounds but not distracted by your picture. Hearing the TV will make your mind try to picture it out likes books do and soon you will be sleep.

When you wake up EAT A GOOD BREAKFASAT with some coffee or hot tea. Get a warm fash towel and just wash of your face. Turn on the radio while your getting dressed. and that wakes you and makes u less nervous.

    Hope i helped.
