I can only do one due to where I live, I am allowed to go to any clubs, as long as they are within walking distance! =/ So i am left with a choice out of Kickboxing or Jujitsu? Which is most practical? Most fun? Thanks.

  1. It all depends on you. Try out a few classes of each, ask if they have a trial class. Whichever one you like best, do that one! What some one might like, may not be what someone else likes.

    Good Luck!

  2. Do Kickboxing for a year then do Jujitsu.  Most people are born with a rudimentary understanding of grappling.  Kickboxing will give you the most growth and should teach you how to bob, weave, duck, use hands, use feet.

  3. I would do jiu jitsu. You are more likely to find jiu jitsu schools who also and dont mind doing a little bit of standing (striking ) than Kickboxing schools who do ground grappling.

  4. I really don't think anyone can honestly say which of the 2 you should start. The one thing I can say is get started. Like a few others has said go to the classes. Find out how much they cost. Try and find which has the best instructions. Determine which class that you will find to be the most fun. You and I will have different opinions on what is fun. Hopefully they offer a trial period. If they do take some classes from both before you decide.

  5. well it depends on what you want to learn more on.. jujitsu is fun and all and can teach you a lot, but its like wrestling a little bit and kickboxing can give you more experience on how not to get hit in the face or something like that while jujitsu will allow you to learn how to break arms and choke people out. Basiclly if you want to learn on how to handle yourself on the ground more than go with jujistsu, and if you want to be a better stand up fighter than go with kickboxing.

  6. Research the back ground on the school. Sit in on a class or 2 at both. See how the students interact with eachother when the teacher isn't looking. See how the teacher teaches. Ask him/ her questions. Basically what you are doing is seeing if it's a Mc. Dojo or a legit place. Pick the better of the 2, the place with the better teacher. It doesn't matter what art as long as you have a good teacher. Good luck man
