  1. well, I don't think there's much to worry about. I mean...little'O hamster and big'O you so....Yeah. I'll be surprised if you end up with a finger missing=pYou don't want to where the glove forever do you? Try and get your Biscuit comfortable with you as you are trying to get comfortable with Biscuit. The longer you prolong it the more time Biscuit is having of getting used to being detached from human touch. I think you guys getting used to each other will be a good first experiment to get her to be friendlier, and to be more open to contact with other people/children.

  2. I WOULD NOT WEAR GLOVES. Your hammie may not know you if you wear gloves, you will make them feel like outsiders. It is best to at first put them in an enclosed area and pet them and let them sniff you. Eventually they will go into your hands.

  3. um

  4. no, this will make her more likely to bite you its better to bite the bullet and hold her i have has six hamsters and have only been bitten once but if you own animals your bound to get bitten sooner or later i mean ive taken on ferrets now (god help me!) lol nah there lovely just very hyper and mischevious. but back on subject defo bite the bullet and pick her up the best way to do this is to cup both your hands under her just make sure you wash your hands first so no food smells are on them.

    have fun with cookie

  5. ifu cant hold it y get 1 there cute u dont even relise wen holding them but just try it not gona bite u or hurt u or anything just give it a go

  6. I understand how you feel I have 3 hamsters of my own and many people find them quite revolting.

I suggest you get used to it by holding it in your hand with a glove on and simply stroking it or stoping it from jumping off your hand with an unprotected hand.

You may also just have an underlying fear that she may bite you, if this is the case just remember that even if she does it is more like a pinch than a bite and it is very unlikely that you would be hurt!

    Hope this Helps.
