  1. I call it duck poo.  It's totally normal.

  2. thats just crustation of the eye . i call it cold or eye boogers. you get them when you wake up. im not sure if were talkin bout the same thing tho

  3. R H E U M is a medical term for the natural watery discharge from the eyes, commonly known as "sleep", "eye cheese" or "eye boogers"(or some derivative thereof), which forms a crust on the eyelids during sleep. It is formed by a combination of mucus (consisting of mucin discharged from the cornea or conjunctiva), tears, leaked blood cells, dead skin cells from the eyelids, and dust.

  4. You should get it checked.  I got pink eye back in October, and it essentially has not gone away.  I'm actually seeing an eye specialist because my primary eye doctor thought I was allergic to my contacts.  Got a 2nd opinion and the 2nd doctor said it was beyond my optometrist's scope.  You should get it checked to see what it is, I still have discharge coming out of my eye, and the specialist I'm seeing now thinks that their is something wrong with my immunity.  The pink eye goes away with medications, but once I'm done with the medication, it comes right back.  Get it checked.....especially if that stringy stuff keeps your eyes shut when you wake up in the morning!
