I can see a white colour tube from my female oscar fish? can anybody tell me how long its take to lay eggs?

its been two months since the white tube appears in my female oscar fish.

in my large tank i have one male oscar and female oscar fish

i currently feeding them earthworm and the temperature around 28*C to 30*C

i also have a comfortable flat rock for them to lay eggs

can anybody tell me how long its take to lay eggs

  1. It shouldn't take long. Does the male appear to be interested in her, or the other one? Try feeding them a little more variety of foods. Bloodworms, brine shrimp, and some flakes. Raise the temperature one more degree. They should breed in no time!


  2. White tube from your female oscar fish means it is about to breed. It should take about to weeks to lay eggs. Do not raise the temperature anymore. Raise 1 degree when it was 26*C. 28*C-30*C is the best temperature for breeding and growth purposes, above 31*C will kill your fishes.
