Question:

I can see my jaw bone on the inside of my tooth?

I got my wisdom teeth taken out 3 weeks ago and there is still a hole but i can see my jaw bone and im on vaction right now i was wondering if any one has had this happen to them. The jaw bone is sticking out and i can barley see any white. Any thing helps

  1. Well one that you could do is when you get home go back to the dentist that you went to start with and tell him your concerns and go from there.. best of luck


  2. ive never heard that happening. are you sure it is your jaw bone? how are you positive? it might be that it is part of the tooth still left in the gums but it will grow out. just make sure you take care of it so it doesnt become infected

  3. I've had my wisdom teeth out and, yes, I could see to the bone but not 3 weeks after the procedure...

    I would return to your dentist/surgeon.  I had to.  It wasn't because of the bone but I developed a second-degree infection.  Thankfully it cleared up really well.

    Keep up the salty rinses in the meantime.
