Question:

I can see my scalp, am I going bald?

I am 22, have jet black thick hair, a double crown and a fine front hairline. But under certain light I can see my scalp (using mirrors of course) and I am worried I might be going bald early. I have very thick hair (unlike my dad whose is fine) and neither my grandparents have lost theirs (they are both 80!). Also my maternal uncle's have full hair at the age of 40.

Does this mean my spikey hairstyle is responsible for my scalp being visible sometimes? Or am I infact a balding young person?

  1. I would think that your hair style is what is making your hair look thinner. If you are wearing a hair style that you have to pull up your hair is spikes and separate your hair then you would surely see your scalp. I wouldn'tt worry about it, unless you were seeing lots of hair in the sink when washing or in your brush.

  2. well DUH!

spikey hairstyles you can ALWAYS see the scalp!

    not just somethimes!

    thats why girls hate it!

  3. you are probally going bald

  4. I dont think your going bald. There were these two girls in my school that had browinish-blondie hair and then they both dyed there hair jet black.

All of sudden it looked like they had no hair left. We all thought their hair was thinning or simply going bald but when there roots started coming out, it like there hair was back to being thick again. I think black does that.

  5. maybe your going through menopause... that happened to my mom

  6. no you just need to dye your roots

  7. I'm 14, I Spike My Hair Up And Can See My Scalp So, I Don't Think I'm Going Bald =P, So Yeah Must Be The Spiking The Hair Up.. I Doubt You're Going Bald If Your Dad Isn't Neither Your Grandparents, Genes Would Matter Here. Hope i Helped = )

  8. To remedy a bald-head apply KEREN-2 after speaking to your chemist or pharmacy.

  9. I'm sure it's just your spikey hairstyle. Try not spiking your hair and see if you can still see your scalp. If you have thick hair, you most likely aren't balding.

  10. No, you just have X-Ray vision.

Get an appointment at a salon you trust and ask a pro.

  11. no i think ur just paranoid im sure it's fine

  12. I doubt that you are going bald. If your hair is falling out it might be - alopecia. But it doesn't appear to be that. You should go to your doctor or pharmacist and they can tell you if it's your hairstyle or if you're going bald!
